    Outside Plant Permitting Manager at MasTec Communications Group

    Responsibilities:

    • Quality Assurance: QA Permit Drawings before Permit Specialists to ensure accuracy.
    • Communication: Constant open communication with Permit Creation staff.
    • Management: Close monitoring of daily activities, work schedules, and submittals of specialists.
    • Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for project compliance.
    • Advisory Role: Act as an advisor to the engineering team on projects and operations.
    • Vendor Management: Manage subcontracted engineering vendor.
    • Tracking: Ensure all applicable trackers are up to date.
    • Relationship Building: Develop relationships with permitting agencies.
    • Policy Knowledge: Understand permitting code and policy.

    Qualifications:

    • OSP Engineering Experience: Sound experience deploying fiber optic networks.
    • Local Expertise: Experience working with local municipalities in permitting.
    • Technical Skills: Knowledge of fiber optics, engineering tools, and industry standards.
    • Software Proficiency: Proficient in various engineering tools and software.
    • Communication: Excellent communication skills for daily interaction.
    • Education: High school diploma and technical courses preferred.
    • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work.
    • Driving Record: Qualify on pre-employment driving record screening.
    • Licensure: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    • Adaptability: Willing to adapt to changing industry trends.
