    Description

    Opening for a well known client:

    Position: Specialist Geologist

    Experience: 20+ years in the field of Geology

    Location: Middle East (Onsite)

    Required Degree:

    • Advance graduate level degree (minimum Masters level) in Geology, preferably with a PhD
    • Minimum 20 years of Oil Industry experience of which at least 10 years with one of the International Oil Companies and/or large reputed National Oil Company (excluding service companies, consultancies etc.).
    • Track record of working in multiple organizations, preferably in multiple geological settings will be an added advantage.

    Job Description:

    • Subject matter expert to support various Carbonate geological field development activities focused on gas field development.
    • Design, execute and/or supervise special studies to reduce sub-surface uncertainties
    • Provide Carbonate Sedimentology and Carbamate sequence stratigraphy inputs for the team.
    • Integrate Carbonate Facies Classification, Diagenesis, Geomechanics and structural geology concepts for sweet spot mapping, well planning and perforation decisions
    • Provide technical expertise in design/update and executing the Field Development Plans including appraisal of new opportunities.
    • Support geological modelling work, preferably with good hands on skill, and actively work with Reservoir Engineering discipline to execute Integrated Reservoir Modelling workflows.
    • Work closely, as an integrated team member with at least 30% of hands on work, with a multi-disciplinary team environment (including IOC team members).
