- Master's degree in nursing and five (5) years of appropriate teaching experience and/or professional experience and New York State RN License is strongly preferred.
- Ph.D. degree in Nursing or in-progress of obtaining Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience is a plus. Main area of teaching will be Medical-Surgical/Fundamentals of Nursing, Pediatrics, Obstetrics-Gynecology RN and PN Programs. Strong preference will be given to candidates with didactic and online teaching experience in the main area of teaching. Evening/weekend schedule may be required. Experience with teaching and learning technologies is preferred. Experience teaching non-traditional urban college students preferred.

The Nursing Department is undergoing a process of growth and renewal and would like to attract new faculty that will share and contribute to this process through teaching, research, and guidance in area(s) of Medical-Surgical/Fundamentals of Nursing, Pediatrics, Obstetrics-Gynecology RN and PN Programs.
Faculty will share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions for the good of the institution.
Nursing faculty teach in the classroom, online, and conduct clinical teaching. Research and publication are expected for tenure and promotion. Other areas of responsibility include curriculum development, participation in departmental and college-wide activities and committees, such as, grant writing, assessment, faculty development, mentoring student projects, and academic advisement. The qualified candidate must be able to work in either the Day or Evening/Weekend program, as needed by the Department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalency*. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
Preferred Quaifications:
*Licensure as a registered nurse, an appropriae master's degree and appropriate specialized experience.
COMPENSATION
$ 52,276 - $90,375
