The pay level offered will be based upon the successful applicant's qualifications and funding availability
To be eligible for selection at the GS-15-equivalent level, the applicant must have a minimum of five-and-one-half years of relevant legal experience
The candidate will supervise six civilian attorneys

Applicants will be evaluated on the following factors: 1) the depth, breadth and quality of their relevant legal experience in the OGC practice areas as identified above, with significant emphasis in acquisition law; 2) supervisory or similar experience in attorney leadership roles; 3) the strength of their analytical, research, and writing skills; and 4) oral communication and interpersonal skills, to include the ability to establish relationships, to work effectively with senior military and civilian clients, and to work as part of a team
Familiarity with the Department of the Navy and OGC is not required but is desirable
Applicants with a record of making significant contributions to the advancement of the DON OGC or equivalent Office of the General Counsel or Law Firm/Office beyond the day-to-day legal practice are desired
