    We are looking for Procurement Specialist for our client in Houston, TX

    Job Title: Procurement Specialist

    Job Location: Houston, TX

    Job Type: Contract

    Job Description:

    • Implements Commodity strategies to ensure a long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.
    • Contributes to the implementation and ensures the usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g., compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
    • Prepares and conducts negotiations to obtain the highest feasible savings.
    • Generates, documents, and implements savings to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent.
    • Executes Supplier Management processes (e.g., qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).
    • Ensures close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.
    • Provides supplier information to the project and conducts project-specific supplier evaluations (project evaluations).

    Responsibilities:

    • These positions are expected to contribute to and deliver business processes or detailed technology solutions in a self-managed and target-oriented manner, thus contributing to team results.
    • Positions focusing on analyzing, developing, testing, or implementing processes, technologies, and systems in their specific field of expertise, from first principles.
    • Targets are short to medium-term (best to be characterized as milestones), and achievements are monitored.
    • They may provide functional advice to and integrate the services of operational staff or semi-professional colleagues.
    • Typically these functions review 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in their field of work and qualification.

    • 3-5 years.

    • Commodity (Group) Team Management (small) – Regional Commodity Procurement Professional - Local: Positions focusing on identifying regional or global suppliers, markets, or regions for assigned (non-critical, moderately complex) commodities, semi-products, services portfolio, either directly or indirectly used in own product portfolio.
    • Identifying and analyzing internal customer needs, analyzing, and discussing technical specifications, in cooperation with the Sales Management responsible or together with the technical Project Manager.
    • Prepares negotiations and contracts.
