    Description
    About the project / day-to-day:

    Dallas project consists in furnish & install ITS systems, Illumination, Traffic Signals and Statis Signs on 7 miles roadway.

    Will be on the I35E - limits of the project, I35E between Interstate 635 (south) and President George Bush Turnpike (north).

    The project engineers will go to the office in the morning to pick up the company vehicle and drive to the job site (5 minutes from the office).

    May have to work nights / weekends but will be compensated by having a day or two off during the work week.

    Schedule is flexible.


    About the role:
    The function of a Project Engineer is to manage and support the field operations on projects.

    The appointed person will report to the Project Manager, but primary responsibility will be to assist in all the project areas including sourcing, maintaining vendor relations, ordering, and tracking deliveries, and receiving and processing invoices to ensure that the foreman and crew have the materials, equipment, and information necessary to complete the job.

    As an extension of the Project Manager, the Project Engineer is ultimately responsible for understanding and accomplishing the customer's goals while protecting and promoting the interests of
    SICEInc in all matters.


    Plusses:

    • Knowledge of TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) standards
    • Experience with Bluebeam software (internal system they use)
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
    • Experience with Construction or Roadway firms is not required, but a major plus

    Dallas cities close to the office/jobsite are Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Irving, Coppell, Flower Mound, Lewisville, Addison, and downtown Dallas.


    Must haves:
    * 2-3 years relevant experience in Project Engineering / Project Planning


    • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, industrial, engineering (engineering is a plus))
    • Enterprise-level computer platform experience required (MS Office and strong Excel knowledge)
    • Valid driver's license
    • Client facing aspects to the role so must be sharp, presentable, and well spoken
