Description

Job Summary:

As a leader in the Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) division of DRS, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Your focus will be on designing and developing cutting-edge infrared and electro-optical solutions for various applications, including military and commercial markets.

Primary & Essential Accountabilities:

Lead engineering efforts for projects, maintaining timelines and budgets
Ensure designs meet project requirements
Collaborate with project teams to develop cost-effective designs that align with customer needs
Provide input on budgets, costs, and schedules for design tasks
Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to proposal preparation and review
Coordinate technical activities with team members and stakeholders
Lead assigned project teams
Support and uphold the organization's mission and values

Secondary Accountabilities:

Participate in relevant engineering and customer meetings
Mentor junior engineers
Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with at least 8 years of experience
Expertise in relevant technologies and domains
Proficiency in multiple engineering disciplines

U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite for this role. A DOD security clearance is necessary or must be obtainable shortly after starting employment.
