    Join our Staples Top-notch Supply Chain Team and deliver vital products to our clients.

    What you will do:

    • As a Lead Driver, you will guide and support new delivery drivers and stand in for supervisors and cover drivers when necessary.
    • You will oversee daily tasks such as scheduling and assisting with deliveries, managing routes, and working with the Supervisor to resolve any issues.
    • You will transport products safely and deliver office supplies along your designated route to customers. You will also be responsible for loading vehicles when required.
    • Safety is of utmost importance, so you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe work practices and promoting our safety culture.
    • You will be a problem solver for our clients, providing support, handling product returns, and brightening our clients' day. You're our brand representative on the road.

    As a leader, your contribution is essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain in meeting our clients' needs.

    What you bring to this role:

    • The ability to drive safely and courteously in all weather and road conditions.
    • Sound decision-making skills for driving, parking, safety, and customer interactions.
    • Proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Knowledge of technology such as GPS and mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) devices.
    • A personal commitment to your own development and growth.
    • An innovative mindset to enhance efficiency and business growth.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients, fostering collaboration to solve problems.
    • Commitment to maintaining vehicle cleanliness and conducting pre-trip vehicle inspections.

    Basic Requirements:

    • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Passing a DOT physical and drug screening (no THC).
    • Obtaining a DOT medical card specific to the role.
    • Basic English language skills for communication.
    • Be able to work additional hours as needed and lift heavy items.
    • At least 21 years of age.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience or comparable driving experience.
    • Experience in high-volume/small package deliveries.
