Minimum Qualifications Open to New York State Employees only:Transfer Opportunity:
Candidates must have at least one year of permanent service as an Associate Director Human Resources 1 (Institution) and be eligible for lateral transfer;
OR
Candidates must be eligible for transfer via Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law by having at least one year of permanent service in a qualifying title.
Duties Description An Associate Director Human Resources 1 (Institution) serves as a key member of a facility's management team in formulating the overall personnel, labor relations, and staff development policy and is responsible for implementing such policy and directing all activities in these functional areas.
In this capacity, an incumbent provides policy direction to subordinates working in each of the functional areas of responsibility to ensure the agency recruits, develops, and maintains a competent workforce of adequate size to achieve its goals and objectives.
