    We take care of our people so that you can do your best work. Application Performance Management Engineer We are currently seeking an Application Performance Management Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for building and configuring Application Performance Management tools. Implements standards and practices for the use of Application Performance Management tools. Designs algorithms, tools, and platforms to optimize the performance and reliability of Insperity's enterprise software platforms. Designs and develops automation systems to detect, mitigate, and recover from adverse operating conditions.

    Responsibilities Reviews the strategy and vision from product owners and stakeholders to devise Service Level Objectives (SLO) and capture Service Level Indicators (SLI).

    Works with product teams to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA) are defined and setup appropriate monitoring for compliance with those SLAs.

    Participates in system capacity planning, gathers operational and technical data and statistics for review, creates metrics and visualizations to facilitate planning necessary to reach business goals and objectives.

    Defines enterprise standards and best practices around designing for performance, supportability, and reliability and scalability.

    Works with other technical teams to implement standards and best practices in Application Performance Management into the software design development life cycle.

    Works with product development teams to apply Application Performance Management considerations to product design decisions, both business and technical.

    Builds, designs, and implements tools for use by software application support teams to alert and diagnose operational issues and deviations.

    Collaborates with operational support teams to assess gaps in coverage and that support teams are properly equipped to stay ahead of potential system issues.

    Works with other teams to understand production environment behaviors. Evaluates operational data to determine when or if action may be required to optimize company operations.

    Assesses and evaluates operational patterns and trends for the purpose of providing feedback to solution architects, server admins, and other relevant staff to optimize and improve overall system health, performance, and reliability.

    Designs, develops, and implements solutions to monitor software health, stability, and performance.

    Works with Quality Assurance and other validation-focused teams to devise, design, and develop failure mode tests, load/stress tests, and other adverse operating-condition defined scenarios to ensure that applications can tolerate a wide range of conditions safely and successfully.

    Reviews software development practices and projects for best practices in Application Performance Management and adherence to company standards and guidelines Assists in the accomplishment of Insperity Company goals.

    Helps other employees to accomplish Insperity Company goals. Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor. Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience in the Application Performance Management field specifically, is required.

    Minimum of three (3) years' professional experience in information systems is required with at least one (1) years' experience developing, architecting, managing, or maintaining enterprise grade software systems, systems administration, or similar discipline.

    Good working and functional knowledge of architectural concepts and the fundamentals of good enterprise technology architecture and design. Experience with software monitoring and alerting tools. Strong leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills.

    Strong consensus building skills and the ability to find common ground or mutual agreement across complex topics involving compromise, negotiation, and similar tactics.

    Ability to express complex, technical topics to management, peers, and others who may not possess an APM background. Ability to express deep or technical topics in easy-to-understand terms. Strong customer service skills. Exhibits a passion for learning and continuous improvement. Takes responsibility for acquiring new skills and broadening knowledge. Exhibits a commitment to the utilization of defined standards and processes.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and maintain effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment.
