**Licensed Childcare Site Coordinator**
Essex Junction Recreation and Parks Essex Junction, Vermont Minimum Experience **Manager/Supervisor** Compensation **$19.43/hour** Essex Junction Recreation and Parks is seeking creative, energetic, caring, and motivated individuals to serve as site coordinators for our licensed afterschool programs. These positions follow a shared staffing model of day-time student support in an elementary school, paired with the after-school site coordinator role. By having staff who also work in the school building during the day, we are able to connect expectations, provide consistency, and offer friendly faces for kids and families. As a mainstream teaching assistant, you will supervise students during lunch, recess or other non-instructional times to support their physical, social and emotional health. After school and during school vacations, you will plan and provide engaging activities for 50+ students, lead and supervise site staff, and communicate with families about kids and the program. Each day you will facilitate children participating in a variety of fun, enriching activities such as sports, group games, field trips, homework support, and time to unwind at the end of the school day. As the site coordinator you will provide the organization and leadership for your site, setting the tone for your programs after-school culture. During the summer, you will lead a summer day camp that includes swimming, sports, art, and field trips.
The positions include shared staffing at the school during the day from 10a.m.-1:30p.m. and coordinating an after-school site 1:30-6p.m.
Bachelors degree in recreation, elementary/special education or related field plus a minimum of two years of experience in youth service program management or combination of education and experience from which comparable skills and knowledge are obtained.
Must be or be able to be trained in CPI. Must hold or have the ability to obtain a CDL with passenger and school bus endorsement within three months of hire.
These full-time, year-round positions have a starting hourly rate of $19.43. Excellent health, dental, retirement benefits, tuition reimbursement, and paid leave.
