- At least five years of relevant research in state-of-the-art approaches for at least one of: resource allocation, optimization, planning, routing.
- Scientific mindset and the ability to invent, excellent creative problem-solving skills.

Job DescriptionWalmart Advanced Systems & Robotics is a rapidly expanding initiative with the objective of revolutionizing the retail landscape through robotics. Our development and implementation of the cutting-edge Alphabot technology are currently underway, with deployment in stores across North America.
The Staff Optimization Scientist will play a crucial role in optimizing the performance and efficiency of our multi-agent robotic system. This role's primary focus is developing novel fulfillment algorithms in collaboration with engineering, control, and operations teams. This role requires a strong technical background in optimization, queuing theory, and combinatorial optimization, as well as the flexibility and adaptability to learn and work in a dynamic, team-centric environment.
We value collaboration, open-mindedness, and a passion for innovation. The Staff Optimization Scientist will collaborate closely with the control systems teams and other cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Software Engineering, and Product Management, to enhance emulation accuracy, develop data-driven strategies, and contribute to the design and development of predictive models and algorithms using metrics to optimize system operations.
