    Description


    Columbia Home Services (CHS) is a residential home services platform formed through the partnership of Tenex Capital Management and Oxbow Equity Partners in September 2023.

    The CHS platform focuses on acquiring residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical home services companies to become a leading regional provider of essential home services across the full lifecycle of home ownership, focusing on repair, maintenance, replacement, and installation services throughout the U.S.

    CHS is headquartered in Dallas, TX and is comprised of a seasoned industry leadership team with over 80 years of combined home services experience that will lead the platform as CHS aggregates more underlying operating companies.

    CHS currently has three operating companies with locations in Wilmington, NC and Dallas, TX.


    Job Description:


    We are looking for a results-driven and confident financial controller to manage and improve our organization's financial performance and direct our accounting operations.

    Duties for the financial controller will include managing accounting records, evaluating, and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.

    Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a financial controller will aid our organization in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.

    The ideal candidate should possess strong analytics, exceptional problem-solving, a flair for numbers, be highly organized, and have excellent leadership skills.

    The noteworthy financial controller should streamline our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports, train staff on business finance issues, promote regulatory compliance, and drive income generation.

    Strategic position that reports directly to the CFOMulti-site responsibility; current operations in three locations in Wilmington, NC, North Richland Hills, TX, and Temple, TX; several other acquisitions under LOI with locations across the south and west coastFast-paced environment, high growth, ability to have an impact on the business as one of the first new employees on a growing teamHelp drive key business decisions, vision, process, and structureResponsibilities:Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL Controlling, Job Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue RecognitionOversees and directs all financial reporting for multi-site locationsIntegrates and acclimates new operating companies to the CHS process, tools, and systemsLong-range planning, budget preparation, and supervision of all accounting functions including operations controlling, legal entity ledger closing and reporting, price/volume/mix analysis, quote support, sourcing decisionsCoordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variancesPrepare and publish timely monthly financial statementsCoordinate the preparation of regulatory reportingResearch technical accounting issues for complianceManage month-end and year-end close processEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingManage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsAdditional controller duties as necessaryRequirements & Skills:Bachelors degree required, preferably in Finance or AccountingStrong leadership, vision, communication skillsExperience with ERP/Financial system integrationAbility to be close partner to CFOTrack record of developing and implementing process improvementsProven working experience as a Financial Controller in a multi-site business6-8 years of overall combined accounting and finance experienceM&A integration and PPA experience requiredCPA preferredThorough knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresExperience with creating financial statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close processExcellent accounting software user and administration skillsPrior experience with residential services businesses (and field management software including ServiceTitan, HouseCall Pro) preferred but not required#J-18808-Ljbffr
