- Acts as an expert in implementing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining Instrumentation, SCADA, and Automated Control Systems for energy storage projects
- Owns Control systems architecture based on ISO/RTO requirements
- Leads electrical control systems modeling or programming utilizing tools like Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C, C++, or C#
- Leads SCADA and substation automation system integration including HMI, PPI, and RTU programming
- Develops and implements SCADA operating procedures compliant with ISO/RTO and NERC standards
- Provides technical assessments of inverter software and hardware solutions
- Evaluates battery storage systems for optimization
- Defines interconnection controls system requirements
- Corresponds with stakeholders
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline with a focus on Power Control Architecture, SCADA, IC&E, or Automation Systems
- Experience in SCADA Commissioning, site-reviews, and project execution
- Proficiency in tools like Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C, C++, or C#
- Hands-on experience with inverter system controls and renewable energy/electric utility system control system integration
- Ability to assess utility-scale renewable energy grid-tied inverter software and hardware solutions
- Experience in defining technical requirements and operational scopes
- Knowledge of ISO/RTO and transmission interconnection stakeholder management
- Understanding of SCADA, Dispatcher Power Flow, Operator Training Simulator, User Interface, Automatic Generation Control, and Data Alarm Processing
