- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular and preventative maintenance on electromechanical equipment. Diagnose and repair complex machinery issues using test results, error messages, and operator feedback.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of industrial electronics, AC/DC theory, PLCs, VFDs, ladder logic, and more to maintain and troubleshoot a variety of industrial equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Proficient with industrial electronics, power transmission, test instruments, VFDs, PLCs, ladder logic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motor controls, and electrical construction.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols including lockout/tagout, fall protection, confined space, and mobile equipment operation.
- Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship, Journeyman Certification, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the steel industry.
- Welding and light fabrication skills.
- Familiarity with industrial communication networks (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet).
- Experience with PID control loops and combustion controls.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
