The Facilities Planner is responsible for the development and maintenance of preventative maintenance (PM) and work order
programs including daily input of all work and information pertinent to the programs in the facility planning database. The Facilities
Planner reviews all daily facilities logs and outgoing work with facilities staff and assists facilities personnel with projects and work
orders as needed. When needed the Facilities Planner reaches out to contractors to assist with work orders or preventative
maintenance tasks. This position also utilizes computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) for detailed equipment
history and recordkeeping.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), plan, and schedule corrective and preventative facilities
activities outlined by the internal facilities and/or production engineering teams and management, by task and priority level
to the facilities teams (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually, Bi-Weekly etc.).

  • Identify labor, materials, tools, and safety requirements for facilities work orders; and work with requesting personnel to
ensure proper job hazard assessments (JHAs) and pre-task planning is completed.

  • Support spare parts management and assist with procuring, searching, itemizing, and controlling critical spare parts lists.
  • Serve as liaison between Facilities, Maintenance, Production, Contractors, and Engineering groups.
  • Support plant initiatives projects, technical writing or other as needed by management as business needs change.
  • Analyze workload, oversee the coordination of facilities, and schedule assets for preventive maintenance based on
projected hours, monthly plan, and current status.

  • Prepare and issue complex indepth monthly work plans showing asset status changes.
  • Manage department metrics for work order execution, calibration, and equipment health.
  • Work with Facilities, Repair & Operations (MRO) team to ensure jobs are kitted for assigned work and that all parts used are
reordered.

  • Ensure reactive maintenance work is properly documented and entered in CMMS.
  • Manage department metrics for work order execution, calibration, equipment health, and others as needed.
  • Regularly review equipment history for trends. Recommend and drive improvements for equipment PMs.
  • When necessary, provide coverage in monitoring facilities' utilities.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance or facilities work.
  • Project and contractor management experience.
  • Expert knowledge of mechanical procedures, equipment repairs, and reading OEM handbooks.
  • Expert with computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) and building out the database.
  • Expert with Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong project management, organization, communication, reporting, planning, attentiontodetail, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Food, beverage, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Project management or planning certification.
  • Maintenance database experience.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Physical Requirements
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift
and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
