Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
Review and prepare workflow, personnel and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures
Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconcile with data storage systems
Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual warehouse budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances
Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees
Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
Improve staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
Warehouse Manager Qualifications / Skills:
Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate work
Tech-savvy, with experience with ERP software (Epicor / Prophet 21 preferred) and barcode scanning technology
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong leadership and management skills
Understanding of safety rules
Knowledge of general software and applications
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years as a warehouse manager or warehouse lead role managing hourly employees
OSHA Forklift Certification
Bilingual (English, Spanish) preferred
This position is based out of pewag's Bolingbrook headquarters and works first shift Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with some occasional overtime work outside those hours.
