    The ideal candidate for the Category Management Analyst is a team player that is driven, possesses initiative, is highly organized, has a passion for retail, keeps customer service skills in mind with every interaction, has an influential voice when sharing ideas, and enjoys being part of a team. The overall purpose of this team member is to support the Category Management division in identifying category opportunities that maximize sales, as well as be committed, energetic, and positive contributor to the overall companys vision and goals.

    Responsibilities:

    Gather and analyze data from multiple data sources to report on category performance.

    Utilize technology and market-based tools to gather data supporting recommendations.

    Aid in completing category and competitor research in stores and online .

    Assist the team in their mission to provide strategic winning assortments, aesthetics, and shelf space optimization.

    Must Thrive at:

    Working collaboratively with Category Managers to achieve category goals.

    Creative analytical thinking that results into actionable insights.

    Identifying trends in the marketplace.

    Top Needed skills:

    High energy, driven, positive attitude.

    Advanced Excel and Power Point skills.

    Attention to detail and highly organized.

    Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with a team.

    Ability to multi task across multiple projects and daily tasks.

    Ability to work in a high paced environment that is ever changing.

    Requirements:

    Bachelors Degree in retailing, management or sales.

    1-3 years of experience in a Category Management role.

    Hands on knowledge of industry tools and analytical techniques.

    Target experience is preferred.
