    DUAL North America, Inc. is in search of an Insurance Accounting Manager.

    • Collaborate with Finance and IT departments to understand and document transaction flows within the insurance administration system, refining reporting and reconciliation processes to meet carrier needs
    • Create monthly journal entries for premium-related transactions to upload into the general ledger
    • Prepare monthly carrier reports and remit funds accordingly
    • Ensure timely and accurate monthly commission payments to producers, including annual profit commissions
    • Conduct and/or review monthly bank and other balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues
    • Review and address aged receivables as necessary
    • Oversee the year-end 1099 reporting and ensure timely submission
    • Assist with carrier audits and address any queries or discrepancies
    • Manage any required unclaimed property filings
    • Support other accounting projects and tasks as necessary

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
    • Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, ideally in an insurance agency or carrier. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
    • Capability and willingness to adapt to new software/systems
    • Keen attention to detail and precision
    • Self-driven and proactive
    • Ability to take initiative and deliver results in a dynamic work environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Effective time management abilities with a track record of meeting tight deadlines
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (experience with lookups and pivot tables required)
    • Prior experience with insurance administration systems, particularly Guidewire, is a plus
