Moss' Senior Preconstruction Manager will have an integral role in the planning, organizing and distribution of commercial construction projects during budget and bidding.
From conception to the start of construction, the Senior Preconstruction Manager will be responsible to lead and manage the estimating role for varies projects ranging from $10 million to $200 million.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for gathering information to be used to produce the project estimate; which includes calculating and estimating the expected cost of construction of a given project
Estimate design build, conceptual/schematic and various stages of the construction progress
Responsible for preparation and tracking of estimates of the design drawings progress thru final contract pricing for all construction divisions
Responsible for value-engineering analysis and assisting the owners and design team to make intelligent informed decisions to keep the design program and project budget on track
Estimate all aspects of a commercial construction project, assemble into one budget, and present to internal and external clients
Review final construction drawings, specifications, determine final scope of work and lead pre-bid/post bid trade contractor meetings
Maintain good business relationships with trade contractors and vendors
Develop comprehensive bid with analysis, qualifications and assumptions
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Civil Engineering or equivalent is required
10 + years of experience in estimating with a general contractor
Proficient knowledge of preconstruction and its practices
Ability to read, interpret and understand plans proficiently
Ability to read specifications and understand the subject matter
Ability to communicate with owner the contents of the estimate and explain the cost variations from estimate to estimate
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong mathematical skills
