    Senior Accountant
    Burbank, CA
    Hybrid role
    Tue. To Thur in office, Mon. & Friday WFH
    Targeted Salary 80-90K

    If you have 5+ years of experience as an accountant, including at least 3 years in a mid-level accountant role, and proficiency in the full close process and financial statement preparation, I am confident our client would like to speak with you.

    Job Overview
    In this role you will apply complex principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
    This position needs a hands-on person with direct

    experience/ownership


    in the tasks/activities listed below; they are not interested in an accountant that runs reports and provides the information to someone else to do the "heavy-lifting".

    The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:
    Worked on an F&A Team in a large/distributed corporate environment
    Experienced in managing complex accounting and variance analysis
    Demonstrated experience in mentoring and training lower-level

    Accountants/Accounting

    Staff
    Demonstrated experience in leading projects and teams
    Intermediate level user of Excel must be proficient with pivots, lookups, data management
    General Ledger, journal entries, calculating & posting accruals
    Fixed Assets, AP/AR, Purchasing & Procurement


    NOTE:

    Due to their small client sizes, candidates who have solely worked in CPA firms are not a fit for this corporate role with 50K plus employees.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Prepares highly complex journal entries for entry into the general ledger system monthly by collecting necessary data, analyzing and/or allocating costs and preparing audit train support for the journal entries.

    Collects and analyzes financial data and prepares monthly combined financial statements and reports. Coordinates preparation of monthly financial package and reviews for accuracy.
    Assists with the preparation of year-end closings. Prepares annual long-term and short-term financial statements in compliance with accounting guidelines and U.S. GAAP. Assists in the preparation of working papers for annual audit. Prepares quarterly consolidation report for consolidation.
    Assists with the preparation of annual budgets, updates, and strategic plans for assigned areas. Coordinates preparation of monthly combining entries to combine financial results.
