    The Life Science Teacher will develop captivating learning activities and experiences to unlock students' intellectual, emotional, physical, and social capacities. They should demonstrate proficiency and add value through collaboration with professional learning teams, exemplifying a strong work ethic marked by diligence, persistence, and commitment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Adaptability in a dynamic school environment, striving for personal excellence and continuous learning.
    • Designing skills-oriented lessons and executing comprehensive lesson and unit plans that drive student proficiency in various standards, including guiding students in essay writing and research paper processes.
    • Tracking student advancement and adapting teaching strategies accordingly, keeping parents and students informed of progress, and making informed instructional decisions to enhance student performance.
    • Evaluating students to assess their capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and tailoring instruction to suit individual needs.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree minimum; Master's degree preferred
    • State Department of Education certification in relevant subject
    • Alignment with our Catholic values as a faith-based institution
    • Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to maintain good driving record
    • Expertise in the subject area of teaching certification

    Desired qualifications:
    3+ years of pertinent high school teaching experience.
    Fluency in Spanish/English is highly desirable


    Student Engagement and Supervision:

    • Compliance with Child Protection regulations.
    • Completion of monthly training sessions following VIRTUS Child Protection guidelines.
    • All staff should view themselves as student supervisors at all times.
