    **Job Description**

    Federal is seeking a driven and talented Regional Sales Manager (RSM) focused on Net Weight filling technologies to contribute to company success by developing leads, establishing productive customer relationships, building and maintaining sales agent relationships, and closing business to achieve targeted sales goals. While relational selling will always be relevant, Federal expects our Regional Sales Managers to be subject matter experts of our technology as well. Our sales team is designed to allow the RSM to get deep in the technology and develop into an industry expert while concurrently assisting our customers achieve their production goals. Successful candidates will demonstrate an entrepreneurial and positive attitude combined with the appropriate technical and inter-personal skills. They will be a motivated self-starter, with a strong desire to achieve personal and professional growth. The RSM will have a solutions selling approach to customer projects and be comfortable working in a team selling environment in support of closing business.

    The position reports to the Director of Sales for Federal Mfg., LLC.

    The sales territory is East Coast/West Coast, and the successful candidate can reside anywhere in the US.

    Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Executing an annual technology sales plan and supporting weekly sales call plans with completed sales call logs in salesforce CRM.

    Identifying and prioritizing sales opportunities and making sales calls on potential accounts and existing accounts.

    Promptly following up on all leads.

    Cold calling to generate leads and to qualify new potential accounts.

    Penetrating all functional levels within potential accounts and existing accounts, and developing business relationships with operations, maintenance, engineering, purchasing and management personnel within those accounts.

    Collaborating with and supporting sales agents and distributors to generate leads and sell fillers.

    Achieving or exceeding sales forecasts for units and parts.

    Following and complying with all Federal and ProMach commercial processes.

    Using our value proposition-based sales approach and our Total Financial Impact Model in every-day sales process.

    Writing and distributing Trip Reports using our Trip Report Template for all sales calls in timely fashion.

    Documenting all Opportunities, Companies, Contacts and customer Interactions in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

    Supporting and cooperating with other regional sales managers regarding national account plants and business development projects in their assigned technology.

    Works to qualify and penetrate new accounts and new market segments.

    Managing or conducting sales efforts outside of assigned technology when necessary.

    Foster warm hand-offs to Federal Aftermarket Department for service, retrofit and re-build opportunities

    Attend domestic or international trade shows

    Other duties as required to meet the needs of the customer

    **Job Requirements**

    Bachelors degree in a technical field preferred, but not required

    5+ years experience in capital equipment sales

    Experience in the packaging industry or within the paints/chemicals industries

    Approaches difficult situations with confidence and tact.

    Is an accomplished and polished presenter to a variety of audiences

    Has excellent written and oral communication skills

    Able to produce compelling win-win presentations in a variety of media formats, including PowerPoint

    Is professional, ethical, detail oriented, and persuasive

    Demonstrated track record of building business and customer relationships.

    Extensive domestic travel will be required, 50-75%.

    Must work effectively with limited supervision

    Must be accountable, deadline sensitive and results oriented
