Overview:
The Business Development Manager, North America will provide a competitive advantage to GMO in the marketing of its investment management capabilities to Institutional Prospects (E&F, Public, Family Office) in the N.A.
We empower our Business Development professionals to select where they can secure the best return on their activity, whilst collaborating closely with colleagues to optimize the team's results.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for building GMO's business in a manner that is consistent with GMO's investment capabilities, goals and culture through the following efforts:Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to capitalize on opportunities in the Institutional marketplaceProactively identify, create and progress new business opportunitiesCultivate relationships with key decision makers Maintain a strong industry network through conference attendance and other avenues, as well as a solid understanding of the competitive landscape and how it is evolvingContribute meaningfully to the growth and diversification of GMO's revenue base Work with Business Development Colleagues, Client Relationship Managers and Consultant Relations Teams to identify new business opportunities.
Communicate with various constituents throughout the organization (GMO) to provide market/industry information and feedbackRequired skills:7+ years of direct responsibility for their own territory with proven sales results.
Bachelor's Degree.
CFA a plus.
Will be required to pass Series 63, 7 and 3.

The salary range for this position is $165,000 - $225,000.
This salary range is estimated for this role and actual pay may be different based on a candidate's qualifications and/or years of experience.
In addition, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus award, which award may be determined by individual, team, department and firm performance, and is subject to the terms of GMO's compensation plan.
