    Job Description: Pacific Life is investing in bright, agile, and diverse talent to contribute to our mission of innovating our business and creating a superior customer experience. We are actively seeking a talented Market Strategist to support the Market Strategy team for life insurance within the Consumer Markets Division (CMD). This is a new role and will report directly to the AVP Market Strategy. Role can be hybrid or fully on-site in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE. As the Market Strategy Director for Life Insurance, your mission is to drive organizational success by enabling strategic plans that address business challenges. You hold a pivotal role in shaping the end-to-end market strategy for our life insurance line of business. How you will make an impact:
    • Strategic Insight:
      • Dive into market research and internal assessments.
      • Define, evolve, and support the strategy necessary to achieve Division objectives.
      • Provide stakeholders with relevant business reviews and awareness related to competition, trends, and customer insights.
    • Cross-Functional Leadership:
      • Be recognized as a thought partner within the Division.
      • Provide oversight for market-focused cross-functional teams.
      • Collaborate with resources from Distribution, Product, Operations, Technology, and other relevant functions both within and outside of CMD.
    • Capability Prioritization:
      • Establish processes to identify, define, and prioritize new capabilities and product demands.
      • Align these priorities with our market strategy.
    • Stakeholder Alignment:
      • Ensure that market strategy customers (including Distribution, Underwriting, Product, etc.) are well informed and at the forefront of all decision-making processes.
      • Ensure alignment with our market strategy and prioritized initiatives.
    • Effectiveness Evaluation:
      • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our market strategy.
      • Anticipate internal and/or external business challenges and regulatory issues.
      • Adapt as needed to drive desired outcomes.
    The experience you bring:
    • 10+ years in the life insurance industry
    • Deep expertise in life insurance distribution, products, and operations
    • Skilled in translating strategy into effective tactical execution
    • Hold a 4-year degree or equivalent experience
    • Excellent collaboration skills
    • Strong communication skills with all levels, both oral and written

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
