    Business Development Knoxville - Terminal **Customer Service Representative (Knoxville, TN)**

    **Job Summary**

    We are seeking an Account Manager to grow with us for 1st shift essential employment in our Knoxville, TN office. This position is a 40-hour work week on a traditional 1st shift schedule in a fast-paced work environment. It will allow you to lend your individual talents to a team setting.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience in the transportation and logistics industry, with a qualified knowledge of the pricing and quoting process for their customer base.

    **Duties and Responsibilities**

    Ability to consistently solicit business from customer base on a regular schedule

    Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or online chat, to provide support and information on products or services.

    Collects and builds load orders in our transportation management software, TMW, from customers for new or additional freight services.

    Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representatives knowledge, forwards to the salesperson assigned to that customers account or other appropriate staff.

    Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns.

    Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.

    Communicate with Operations and Business Development departments to see what their immediate and future needs are daily.

    + Performs other related duties as assigned.

    + Develop regular call schedule with Business Development Department

    + Contact customers as needs of the planning department dictate

    + Quote Spot bid rates

    + Follow-up if bid freight is not tendered

    + Track customers response for weekly report

    Excellent communication skills including active listening.

    Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.

    Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.

    Clear and concise written and oral communication skills are required for this role. The ideal candidate will be detailed and deadline oriented, be self motivated and and self starter, have proficient computer skills with the ability to analytically think and provide solutions for client partners while working in a fast paced environment.

    **Schedule:** 40 Hour Work Week - 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday

    **Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent (Minimum, experience required), Associates Degree or higher (Preferred)

    **Physical Requirements**

    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
