    Manager, Student Services Compliance

    The Opportunity

    The Manager of Student Services: Compliance will ensure the successful ongoing implementation, and assessment of special education compliance. They will assist with the development and implementation of IEPs, as well as coordination and monitoring of evaluation timelines, case conference committee meetings, and related services.
    This is a permanent, year-round position in Cleveland, OH. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2024.
    This position is required to work in-person at their assigned campus from Tuesday to Thursday and can work remotely most Mondays and Fridays.
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Monitors timeliness for initial, annual, and re-evaluation IEPs, providing support to IEP teams as needed;
    • Establish and communicate clear deadlines to all stakeholders for IEP development and other required team meetings;
    • Build capacity within the school building to produce grade-appropriate and student-focused special education services;
    • Attends and facilitates all required team meetings;
    • Generate and submit EMIS forms promptly for each initial and/or annual IEP review, amendments, and manifestation determination as appropriate
    • Develop and distribute IEP snapshots for Lead Intervention Specialists
    • Electronic and manual monitoring of student sped records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and district mandates
    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    Experience, Education, and Licensure
    • 3-5 years of teaching experience
    • A demonstrated strong track record of student performance gains with students with IEPs; urban setting strongly preferred
      • 2+ years of school leadership experience preferred.
    • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree in Special Education or related fields that yields a licensure
    • A valid Ohio Teaching License with Special Education endorsement OR Transfer a Special Education Teaching License from another state to Ohio
    Expertise
    • Demonstrated ability to write compliant IEPs
    • Strong understanding of federal and state special education rules, regulations, and practices
    • Strong understanding of special education policies, procedures, and programs
    Compensation and Benefits
    The base salary range for this position is $55,000-$67,500.
