    Description
    Job Summary

    Reporting to the Senior Financial Partner of Engineering Basic Capital, the Assistant Project Officer (APO) is responsible for ensuring basic capital programs meet Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) control guidelines.

    Main Responsibilities

    Auditing

    ·Act as a key line of defense and point of contact on SOX issues in Basic Capital, proactively working with Engineering management and field employees

    ·Identify, document and correct apparent SOX issues within capital programs

    ·Where SOX rules are not definitive, take the conservative course while evaluating the appropriateness of escalation through finance or accounting

    Coaching and Training

    ·Provide guidance and training to Engineering

    Reporting

    ·Liaison to the Engineering AVP or Chief on SOX failures and correction steps

    ·Answer to internal and external audit on their findings

    Working Conditions

    The role requires minimal travel (10%) and occasional work outside of working hours. The dress code is business casual.

    Requirements

    Experience

    Engineering, Finance or Audit

    ·Engineering, finance or audit experience

    Education/Certification/Designation

    ·High School Diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED)

    Technical Skills/Knowledge

    ·Strong computer skills

    ·Microsoft Office especially Excel

    ·PMA

    ·SAP

    ·Fieldglass

    ·Knowledge of Engineering field work and procedures*
