Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Investments Team as an Associate.

The Associate will play a pivotal role in supporting the team's leadership to oversee the business plan and financial analysis for the Boston Seaport.

In the heart of the district, WS Development is transforming 33 acres of land, composed of 7.6 million square feet of residential, hotel, office, retail, entertainment, civic and cultural uses, as well as signature public open spaces.

The project represents the single largest development project in Boston's history.


What to Expect:


The Investments Associate will be responsible for a variety of investment activities relating to acquisition, asset management and capital markets.

This is a highly-visible role providing interaction with senior management as well as property focused leasing, development and construction teams.

Additional responsibilities involve underwriting and evaluation of potential capital transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, etc.) including, but not limited to preparing advanced financial models, proposed investment presentations, and other special projects, as assigned.


  • Assist with the investment process from end to end deal sourcing to portfolio support
  • Preparing and maintaining Argus models and cash flow analyses for internal evaluation as well as for investors, lenders and thirdparty consultants
  • Drafting annual business plans for existing assets and investment memos for new transactions
  • Serving as a key point of contact for our equity investors and lenders
  • Creating and managing various databases for both WS properties and comparable properties for portfolio management purposes

You will have an immediate opportunity to be close to all aspects of deals at WS related to The Seaport and use your analytical mindset to be a key contributor to our portfolio in The Seaport.

Requirements:


  • 5+ years of experience in a fastpaced, professional environment
  • Interest and experience in real estate and asset management
  • Advanced Argus and Excel modeling experience is a requirement
  • Excellent analytical skills and facility with mental math
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience interfacing with external investors preferred
  • A desire and inclination to take ownership of and lead projects
  • Communication and presentation abilities, including business writing and proofreading
