    Summary
    The Director of Employment Services is responsible for the operation and oversight of the Employment Services Department.

    The Department is in charge of UBH's employment services to program participants including but not limited to:


    design and develop employment opportunities, education and vocational training, securing partnerships with employers in diverse industries and on-the-job apprenticeships and training development.


    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Ensures UBH employment services meet metrics for success to include volume of enrollments to training programs, job retention, effective supervision and management, collaboration with departments and services across the Workforce Development continuum, and demonstration of continuous improvement to stay abreast of and implement current research findings.

    Secures partnerships with employers in diverse industries and on-the-job apprenticeships.
    Oversees program services including job development and employment
    Conducts participant coaching and career exploration.
    Develops and implements marketing strategies to generate opportunities for
    employers and recruitment of job seekers to the program
    Shares current workforce development resources to keep up with trends in the labor force
    Supervises and evaluates department staff
    Develops and implements annual budget and staffing plans to meet contract
    requirements and service needs
    Develops and manages department strategies to meet contract and service goals
    Maintains accurate client records and employment documentation
    Creates, compiles, reviews and evaluates departmental reports and statistics

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field, required


    Preferred:
    Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in MBA, Public Administration or related field.
    Three to five years of experience in job

    development/placement

    specifically with Workforce Development Programs.
    Three to five years of experience of relevant management experience, preferably in a social services agency.
    Minimum of three years' experience providing services to persons experiencing homelessness.
    Demonstrated experience in working with at-risk youth to reach their career, employment, or education
    Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: mental health, chemical dependency,

    emotional/behavioral

    special education, at-risk youth
    Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to work effectively with youth with a variety of identities, cultures, and backgrounds including ethnic/racial minorities and LGBTQ
    Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care and Practices a
    Ability to work collaboratively, but
    Creative problem-solving
    Excellent communication (verbal and written) and intervention skills.
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as regulatory policy and procedure manuals.
    Ability to work with diverse population.
    Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    Experience using a data management system to record client information and interactions preferably HMIS.


    MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
    Valid California Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.
    TB Test Clearance (upon hire).

    Successful completion of background screening.
