    Description

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    Requires knowledge of office practices, business correspondence techniques and English
    composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation; advanced math, records management and file
    maintenance; Knowledge of word processing, data base and spreadsheet software applications
    programs; use of standard office equipment including telephones, calculators, copiers, and facsimile
    machines. Requires ability to multi-task; listen, understand and follow verbal and written instructions;
    maintain the confidentiality of data, prioritize, organize and complete tasks independently,
    communicate effectively and work cooperatively with customers, staff, management, and visitors.

    Environmental Conditions:
    This is a moderately active office and field position and employees work in an office and field
    environment with moderate to loud noise levels, controlled and uncontrolled field temperature
    conditions. Position is both sedentary, standing, and walking. Employees have exposure to staff,
    public and private representatives.
    Perform the following under indirect supervision of higher-level team members:

    Analyze and generate structural calculations with respect to vertical/lateral loads and foundation (Conventional/Post Tension) design and assist in the preparation of construction documents for framing, shear wall, foundation plans and structural details.

    C. Review soils report information and determine foundation design intent.
    D. Review shop drawing submittals.
    E. Prepare responses to governing municipality plan review comments.
    F.

    Commit to project deadlines and general schedule defined by higher level team members immediately notify them if schedule or deadline is jeopardized.

    G. Consistently communicate project related design issues to higher level team members.
    H. Review own work for accuracy and thoroughness.
    I. Enter project related information in the project information database.
    Job Requirements

    Requirements

    Experience:
    Compensation based on Experience
    Looking for recent graduates (EIT required) to experienced engineers with PE

    Education:

    Required:
    Professional education in Civil or Structural Engineering (B.S, M.S, etc.) OR High School Diploma and 4+ years experience in the Structural Engineering field

    Preferred:
    Professional education in Civil or Structural Engineering (B.S., M.S etc.) and 2+ yearsof experience in the Structural Engineering field.

    Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office
    Excel, Enercalc, RetainPro, PTI 3.5, Simpson Connector Software, Adobe, MS Office

    Preferred:
    General structural analysis software, general knowledge of AutoCAD
