Position Overview:


The Manufacturing Leadership Council Operations and Manager, Council Operations is an integral position within the MLC program and membership team, undertaking projects which drive momentum to ensure that results are not only delivered to each MLC member, but also tracked for increased membership engagement and interaction.

This position executes tasks on both a large and small scale, producing results which improve member experience, team collaboration, and increased membership.

Data Management:
Manages data information and integrity in Salesforce database, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of records.

  • Manages membership data by adding new individual MLC members to database companies from Council Member requests, tracks meeting participation, and requests from Account Directors
  • Creates Salesforce membership demographic reports on MLC members, member companies, account management, etc.
  • Troubleshoots and fixes portal login issues for members and sends out login credentials to members as needed.
  • Compiles new member/call statistics for shared team report.
  • Runs comparative reporting on membership/meeting attendance.
  • Reports meeting registration numbers weekly at team meetings.
  • Conducts research on various coding issues with Salesforce and troubleshoots, fixes, or requests resolution from IT.
  • Manages and monitors three shared inboxes.
  • Manages MLC YouTube channel, creates YouTube links for MLC panel discussion mp4 videos.
  • Responds to all member inquiries sent to personal and common inboxes.
  • Sends out video links as requested to members and sales team for content promotion.
  • Writes new copy each week for the Weekly Lineup newsletter sent to all MLC members.
  • Sends out invitations for new panel discussion calls to all MLC members upon receipt of abstract, (which is also edited).
  • Arranges introductory orientations for new members as needed and forwards orientation slide deck to new members.

Virtual and In-Person Event Support:
Manages virtual MLC event production and assists on-site at plant tour events and other annual MLC events.

  • Manages backend production of Decision Compass, Critical Issues, and M2030 Call panel discussion calls.
  • Edits and proofs slide deck presentations to be used during calls and webinars; organizes and leads discussion panel and speaker preparation meetings; uploads panel discussion videos, call content and attendance lists to member portal.
  • Creates 'Add To Calendar' event links for all MLC events based on worldwide time zones.
  • Adds all MLC meetings and events to NAM calendar of programs.
  • Runs member onsite registration/checkin for all inperson MLC events (plant tours, annual Rethink and M2030 Project events).
  • Assists with onsite event tasks as needed (including, but not limited to, office/registration setup, badge preparation, microphone running, packing, etc.).
  • Expected travel 20%.
