Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for welcoming patients in a friendly manner to ensure they feel at home during their clinic visit. Handling patient registrations and interviews to gather precise demographic and financial details. Inputting new/updated patient data into the computer system. Handling phone calls. Organizing medical records for appointments by consolidating information from various sources. Monitoring dictation to confirm all patient notes are documented. Collecting co-pays and outstanding balances for services provided. Distributing financial aid information and offering basic assistance to patients. Referring complicated or non-compliant financial matters to a Financial Specialist or Site Manager.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
High school diploma.
CERTIFICATION/
LICENSES:
Preferably, Medical Terminology Certification.
SKILLS:
EXPERIENCE:
One to two years of experience in a general or medical office setting or completion of a medical office program in the last two years. Prior experience in healthcare is advantageous.
