- Develop a deep understanding of Medtech security processes and procedures to be an expert in cybersecurity activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure adherence to Medtech product security program during development, testing, and release phases.
- Work with external partners and internal cross-functional teams to own and drive cybersecurity project deliverables.
- Identify potential cybersecurity risks during the pre-market phase with product development teams.
- Provide documentation for pre-market development activities such as security plans, architecture diagrams, threat models, requirements, and risk documentation.
- Manage post-market vulnerability activities efficiently within set timelines.
- Implement security measures to mitigate risks and enhance product security.
- Guide teams in making decisions that balance business needs with security goals.
- Think beyond organizational boundaries and understand the needs of both internal and external customers.
- Perform additional assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with at least 6 years of experience.
- Thorough knowledge of pre-market product security and familiarity with industry best practices.
- Experience in security risk management tactics, vulnerability testing, and security measure implementation.
- Understanding of secure software development lifecycles (SDLC) and related processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance frameworks like NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO27001, SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Previous experience in a regulated environment, with FDA-regulated experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently.
- Drive to work with a sense of purpose and handle new challenges positively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- BS degree in Computer Science; MS in Cybersecurity preferred
