    Reporting directly to and under the supervision of the VP of Growth and Development, the Digital Marketing Specialist's primary purpose is to assist Great Lakes Credit Union to live out our Vision, "To be the members' trusted financial partner." Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members, in alignment with our Standards of Greatness.

    The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing websites, landing pages, as well as email and other digital ads to enhance our online presence and drive member engagement and CU growth. The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for the strategic implementation of marketing campaigns across email, web, social, deep target, branch TVs, print and video. The incumbent will also liaise with vendors to implement paid advertising campaigns across search, social, affiliate and other digital platforms; coordinate with vendors and internal partners to ensure tracking is implemented appropriately; maintain accurate content on the website, including rates; and provide feedback on creative design and direction.

    As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will:

    • Be entrusted to listen, be responsive to members' needs, simplify their financial life, and make it easy to do business with us.
    • Build valued relationships by discovering members' needs, and recommending relevant products and services.
    • Promises to be knowledgeable and respectful - one transaction, one interaction, and one member at a time.
    • Developing and executing digital marketing strategies to achieve business objectives and targets.
    • Designing and creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites and landing pages using HTML, CSS,
    • Utilize PHP, Python, JavaScript and other relevant tools.
    • Managing the development and deployment of email marketing campaigns, including template design, content creation, and audience segmentation.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design, content, and development to ensure alignment of digital marketing initiatives with overall brand strategy.
    • Conducting thorough analysis of digital marketing campaigns and website performance using analytics tools to optimize for conversion and ROI.
    • Staying updated on the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing, web design, and user experience to continuously improve strategies and tactics.
    • Monitoring and optimizing digital advertising campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Google Ads, social media ads) to maximize reach and effectiveness.
    • Implementing SEO best practices to improve website visibility and organic search rankings.
    • Providing regular reports and insights on key performance metrics to stakeholders, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
    • As needed, creating graphics for email, website, print, landing pages and similar.
    • Working with VP, Marketing and external agencies to refine visual brand identity.
    • Responsible for maintaining and updating the content of website to ensure all information is accurate and up to date: Update rates, disclosures, and similar.
    • Ensuring GLCU maintains ADA compliance across all digital properties.
    • Assisting in testing URLs, landing pages, links, and similar.
    • Documenting processes and workflows as needed.
    • Responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations, and following all of GLCU's policies, procedures and internal controls.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience.
    • Proven experience of 3-5 years in digital marketing, with a focus on website design, email marketing, and digital advertising.
    • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and web design principles.
    • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, and email marketing software.
    • Previous financial services industry experience preferred but not required.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
    • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and user experience.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present ideas persuasively.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
    • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization techniques is a plus.
