We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for handling overflow work from senior accountants, including journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations. This is a remote position,offering flexibility and the opportunity for professional growth within the company.

salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and posting of journal entries as needed to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Perform reconciliations of various accounts, including bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and intercompany accounts.
Reconcile balance sheets on a monthly basis, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
Import financial data into the ledger system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
Utilize company coding standards and procedures to maintain consistency and integrity in financial records.
Collaborate with senior accountants and other team members to support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Assistant Controller or senior management.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function.
