The Department of Psychiatry at UMass Memorial Medical Center is seeking a psychiatrist with interest and experience in Women's Mental Health.
This position will provide opportunities for integrating behavioral healthcare into obstetric and other medical settings through consultation and telepsychiatry.Clinical activities include prescription and management of medications, administration or recommendation of psychotherapeutic treatments, and collaboration with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals.
The position also includes the opportunity to work on population-based statewide programs focused on building the capacity of the medical community to address perinatal mental health and substance use disorders in Massachusetts ( and other states ( faculty are pioneers in the fields of psychiatry, psychology, obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and pediatrics, leading paradigm-shifting work focused on addressing women's mental health.
Together, we have collective experience, expertise in women's mental health and parental mental health, and deep relationships with community partners, including medical societies and policymakers.
In collaboration with these community partners, we support junior faculty in providing evidence-based mental health care for families.Throughout our Department and Lifeline for Families Center, we are deeply committed to integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion into our clinical work.

If of interest, the psychiatrist will be mentored to develop their own independent research with opportunities for publication and presentations.
Protected research time is available to qualified candidates. This will include the opportunity to work on existing NIH- and PCORI-funded clinical and implementation studies.Current active research in the Lifeline for Moms Center includes PCORI, CDC, NIMH, SAMSHA, HRSA, and philanthropic and state-funded projects.
