Job DescriptionSenior Accountant ($95K-$105K plus bonus)
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant for a client in the manufacturing industry located in Dallas, TX. As part of the growing Accounting and Finance department, this role reports directly to the CFO and involves hands-on responsibilities within a dynamic team environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in various accounting functions and contribute to the company's overall financial success.

Responsibilities
· Perform cost accounting duties and conduct analyses to support financial decision-making.
· Review and analyze general ledger and trial balance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
· Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining proper documentation and supporting schedules.
· Reconcile GL and balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Track capital expenditures, update fixed assets, and manage depreciation schedules.
· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
· Conduct intercompany account reconciliations, addressing variances and ensuring accurate reporting.
· Generate analytics on monthly financial results, highlighting variances and trends for management review.
· Assist in process improvement initiatives through automation and best practice research.
· Support the monthly and annual close process, meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy.
· Analyze financial data and maintain working knowledge of financial statements.
· Manage daily cash deposits and record transactions in the general ledger.
Client Requirements
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance preferred.
· Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing with a focus on cost accounting.
· CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred.
· Experience in manufacturing, construction or oil and gas industries
· Experience with Sage
· Epicor ERP is required
