- Manage and grow a small team of physicists working on quantum computing system integration
- Collaborate with other subsystem leads across the organization in the requirements definition, testing, and integration of critical subsystems of trapped-ion quantum computers

The salary range for this position is $175,954 - $230,369.
We are looking for a Sr. Manager of Quantum Computing Systems. As a Sr. Manager on the System Integration team in our new Seattle facility, you'll be part of the cross-functional leadership team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world's best quantum computers to solve the world's most complex problems. In this role, you'll lead the system commissioning and performance characterization of IonQ's engineering prototypes of high-performance trapped-ion quantum computers.
This role involves direct supervision of a newly formed, small team of experimental physicists in our Seattle site as well as close collaboration with our core system integration team in College Park, MD.

Our HQ is located in College Park, Maryland and we are a 15 minute metro ride from Washington DC. We are actively building out our recently opened manufacturing and production facility in the Seattle, Washington area. Depending on the position, you may be required to be located in Washington DC, Seattle, Washington or the Toronto, Canada area. However, IonQ will be expanding into additional geographies both domestically and internationally so don't let this stop you from applying.
