    Job Description

    Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Vehicle Repair Coordinator to work in our Fleet Management department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Central Facilities with every Friday off. All work is performed onsite. You will use your years of experience to ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained and repaired in an efficient manner. You will be the contact for the customers needing service or repairs on vehicles and equipment. You will report directly to the manager of the Fleet Manager department. Responsibilities Include:

    • Provide work direction to technicians including safety, priority of repair, work location, and any information related to the assignments. This also includes prioritizing and scheduling emergent needs.
    • Engage with and assist on parts ordering and resolutions.
    • Monitor the department budget to ensure costs are in line with department plans and customer requirements. Monitor the time billing in both TIMS and HCM systems, ensuring they are accurate and reflective.
    • Develop positive working relationships with technicians, co-workers, and customers.
    • Support overtime assignments on a rotational basis, ensuring a service coordinator is in the shop with the technicians during the hours worked.
    • Review inspection reports daily to ensure the service repair orders capture the issues identified by the operator.
    • If necessary, coordinate with the Employee-In-Charge (EIC) who will assist or perform some of these responsibilities under the direction and instruction of this position.
    Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent and 6+ years relevant experience related to a service writer's responsibilities.
    • Must have at least 4 years of experience in vehicle/auto repair or performing service coordinator functions.
    • Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.
