- You will serve as a clinical resource for the nursing staff and health care providers to assist with planning strategy of wound care either pre or post operatively or ongoing.
- You will ensure appropriate resource management and develop a safe and appropriate discharge plan in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- You will be responsible to include direct nursing intervention provided to a variety of age populations and diagnostic categories, based on the physician developed plan of care and established priorities for wound care issues.
- You will coordinate activities that promote quality outcomes and patient throughput while supporting a balance of optimal care and appropriate resource utilization.
- You will identify potential cause(s) of delayed wound healing.
- You will review medication and provides patient education, pain medication administration per physician order, accurately assess the pain levels and effects of administered pain medications.

Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) you will have the opportunity to use your nursing care experience in a uniquely impactful way. You will provide quality individualized preventive, supportive wound care to each patient. In this role:
Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region. We serve southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. Our facility has an ER, a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. We have the region's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. Our 74-bed Behavioral Health Center offers inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults.
