    Senior Software Engineer
    PORTLAND OR, U.S.A.

    Flexiworld Technologies, a pioneer and leading provider of pervasive wireless technologies, has openings for several engineering positions including engineering manager, senior software architect and senior software engineer at our Portland , Oregon office.

    Position

    The position for senior software engineers will design and develop unique Bluetooth wireless software applications for the consumer and enterprise markets.

    The minimum requirements for the position include Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and experience in the following areas:


    • 2 years object oriented software design and development experience with C++
    • 2 years Programming experience with Microsoft Visual C++/MFC/Win32 SDK/COM
    • 2 years GUI design and development experience for Windows applications with MFC
    • 1 year USB and network device driver development experience with Windows DDK
    • 1 year programming experience with TCP/IP sockets
    All experience may have been gained concurrently.

    3+ years of experience in software, hardware, peripherals, wireless or IT sales with at least 2 years involving distributor partners in the sales process

    Must possess strong prospecting, territory management, sales and presentation skills
    Strong negotiation experience
    High level of competency with software, including Microsoft Word and Excel
    Demonstrated record of success achieving/exceeding sales targets on a quarterly basis

    Effective relationship management skills
    Sales skills include sales strategy development, performance based advertising, new product introduction, and setting and meeting monthly growth targets
    Ability to create and implement product promotions

    BA/BS, preferably MBA/MS, in Marketing/Business and/or Engineering
    Preferred

    Genuinely interested in new electronic and wireless devices with strong understanding of the market landscape

    A combination of software, e-commerce and high-tech marketing expertise 3+ years experience in merchandising and marketing in an e-commerce environment
    E-commerce skills include business strategy, managing site development, performance based advertising, search engine optimization, new product introduction, daily profit management and setting and meeting monthly growth targets
    Ability to create and implement product promotions
    Familiarity and expertise with wireless product offerings
    Winning attitude and strong creative sense
    BA/BS, preferably in Marketing/Business

    Preferred

    Experience using Java Script, Java and HTML programming languages, knowledge of CGI, PERL, ASP, XML, Flash or other Internet technologies as well as Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator is a plus

The successful candidate will manage a team of engineers at our U.S. office in Portland.
    Required Skills
    A successful candidate will be familiar with developing network device drivers using the DDK libraries, and debugging strategies. Strong writing skill and communication skill. Proven experience in managing complex project with suppliers and customers. BS or MS in EE and a minimum of 7 years of experience.

    Seeking a team oriented individual with a strong combination of Visual C++ with MFC, Windows COM programming, PDA development – Pocket PC,Palm OS, and/or Symbian OS, TCP/IP and communications protocol development experience.

    Experience with device drivers and/or windows GDI is desirable. Wireless experience such as Bluetooth and Printer driver development and image processing capabilities a plus. Must have good written communication

    skills. The successful candidate will manage a team of engineers at our U.S. office in Portland.
    Required Skills
    A successful candidate will be familiar with developing network device drivers using the DDK libraries, and debugging strategies. Strong embedded development experience. MS in EE or CS and a minimum of 7 years of Windows development experience is required.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and quality assurance of all engineering deliverables, and will also develop the corporate strategy for total quality throughout all departments.

    As a senior software engineer, your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining Windows based tools and applications of company's 802.11a and 802.11b Wireless LAN networking technologies and products.

    A successful candidate must have a proven track record and a thorough understanding of Windows Driver and DLL development, and an understanding of kernel level system services.

    Development skills in C/C++ programming is a must as well as being proficient in the native Microsoft driver debugging environments.

    Networking skills and knowledge of TCP/IP and NDIS are a must.
    Required Skills
    A successful candidate will be familiar with developing network device drivers using the DDK libraries, and debugging strategies. BS or MS in CS and a minimum of 5 years of Windows development experience is required
    BA degree required, MBA preferred. Minimum 5 years marketing and 2 years business development experience. Knowledge of mobile computing devices and wireless networks is desirable.

    This position will be responsible for the corporate marketing plan and will design market testing strategies for new products and concepts.

    The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in those areas.
