    Description

    THE POSITION
    Work for an agency that provides valuable services to people aged 60 and older. One of the fastest growing segments of the population in Lebanon County.

    DESCRIPTION OF WORK


    Acting as the main Protective Service Care Manager for older adults, which involves receiving reports of need for protective services, investigating reports received, assessing the needs of protective services consumers, developing, and coordinating the implementation of service plans for protective services consumers.

    Protective service involves activities, resources, and supports provided to older adults to detect, prevent, reduce, or eliminate abuse, neglect, exploitation, and abandonment.

    After being state certified to perform protective service investigations, this Care Manager will also be taking protective service referrals after normal working hours on an on-call basis, during hours that are designated by the supervisor.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    • Full-time employment
    • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY


    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    • Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or
    • Six months as an Aging Care Manager 1 or a County Caseworker 1; or
    • Six months of professional human services or nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
    • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

    Other Requirements:
