    GENERAL PURPOSE

    The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR Director in supporting existing company policies, HR law compliance. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits and leave administration, compensation, wellness initiatives, employee relations and training as well as other related HR functions.

    Essential Functions (Performs all or some of the following)

    Administers benefits including educating employees about WMH benefits and options including processing new employee benefit enrollment. Coordinates yearly benefits fair during each open enrollment period. Administers all leave according to policy and FMLA law including: FMLA, Short-Term Disability and Worker's Compensation; tracks and monitors leave balances. Processes all Workers Compensation claims and reporting including OSHA logs.

    Facilitates New employee orientation process and training, reviews curriculum; schedules trainers and training sessions; oversees and monitors the Relias training Program; acts as trainer for most personnel policies; educates new employees about their benefit options; performs new employee processing including URS and Employee Navigator enrollment; I9 / e-verify; Certified CPR, First Aid, AED Trainer for NEW Employee Orientation.

    Process and updates compensation records to show pay adjustments, probation increases and COLA's; creates personnel action reports showing various changes in employee status and record; administers and processes Converted Sick and Leave Buy Outs throughout the year.

    Performs special projects, surveys or studies requiring research of personnel files, records, databases, information system, payroll system, etc.; performs employee leave accounting, recording, coordinating and reconciling with payroll records. Assist in providing length of employment information to the executive team for years of service awards. Responds to requests for verification of employment according to established policies and legal requirements.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Graduation from college with a Bachelor's degree in business, human resource administration, public administration or a related field and one (1) years of responsible experience.

    OR

    4 Year (s) of full time work experience in a professional administrative setting.


    SHRM-CP and/or PHR preferred

    Compensation:

    Base Wage starting at $ per Hour

    PHR / SHRM-CP Certified Wage: $

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
