    Summary

    Under the supervision of the HR Manager, Director, or VP, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated business entities. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.

    Essential Functions

    • Conducts check ins with leadership to enhance engagement and HR representation.
    • Process all unemployment claims and represents the company for any unemployment claims as needed.
    • Maintains the employment posters in all locations.
    • Supports and maintains site related FMLA/ADA accommodation requests.
    • Assists HRBPs with company-wide training on policy and legal updates.
    • Supports the HRIS Analyst with HRIS system; enters new hire information, termination information, changes, etc. Runs reports, as necessary.
    • Assists with basic employee relations, investigations, separations.
    • Assists with day-to-day tasks and general questions.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Familiar with employment and labor laws

    Demonstrated ability to meet goals while working under limited supervision.

    Able to implement Human Resources initiatives and drive projects to completion.

    Ability to conduct and participate in sensitive and confidential conversations.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This job does not supervise employees.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, photocopiers, shredders, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.

    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This individual is frequently required to talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.

    Job Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This job requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    The incumbent in this job primarily works from two locations during established business hours.

    Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, 2+ years of related experience and/or training, 1+ years supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement
