    Business Data Analyst

    Information Technology Department

    Location: Richardson, Texas (Moving to Plano in August) This role will require the employee to be 100% on-site initially, transitioning to a hybrid model in August.

    Role Type: Contract to hire (6-12 months)

    Job Description: We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will focus on documenting existing business processes and communicating business requirements to technical resources. You will work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs, identify trends and patterns in complex data sets, and define new process improvement opportunities. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop and document business flows
    • Manage ERP (SAP / S4Hana) systems
    • Utilize Power BI and SQL for data analysis
    • Transfer and manage data
    • Conduct meetings and produce meeting minutes
    • Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques
    • Acquire data from primary and secondary sources
    • Maintain databases/data systems
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets
    • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
    • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

    Required Experience/Skills:

    • 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
    • Proven ability to produce business process flow diagrams
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Proficient in queries, report writing, and presenting findings
    • Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP / S4Hana
    • Proficiency in Power BI and SQL
    • Programming background
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

    Nice-to-Haves:

    • Personal interest in technology and data analysis
    • Experience in similar roles or industries
    • Knowledge of additional data analysis tools and software

    Education:

    • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
