    LHH is seeking a HR Generalist for a client located in Louisville, KY. This person will serve as an internal HR business partner to deliver human resources initiatives and solutions in support of key business strategies and company core values, including but not limited to; recruiting, new hire onboarding, benefits enrollment, payroll, advising on company policies/procedures, performance management, and advancing culture initiatives through effective employee relations and engagement practices.

    Job Details:

    • Type: 16+ week contract covering a leave with potential for direct hire needs after. (Direct hire needs will be at a different location in Charlestown, IN)
    • Start Date: 2-3 weeks from offer
    • Pay: $25-$33hr depending on relevant experience and education level
    • Location during contract: Louisville KY 40299
    • Future location if converted to direct hire: Charlestown, IN 47111
    • Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5pm - Occasional WFH days offered as needed once fully trained
    • Interview Process: 2 rounds - 1 onsite & 1 virtual 1 onsite



    Main Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to FMLA and ADA compliance.
    • Coordinate and administer FMLA leave requests, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and company policies.
    • Provide guidance to employees and managers on FMLA and ADA procedures and rights.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR leadership and legal counsel, to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with FMLA and ADA regulations.
    • Conduct training sessions for managers and employees on FMLA and ADA compliance and best practices.
    • Manage accommodation requests under the ADA, including interactive discussions, reasonable accommodations, and documentation.
    • Stay informed about changes in FMLA and ADA regulations and make recommendations for policy updates as necessary.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to FMLA and ADA cases.
    • Support compliance with HR policies and procedures to ensure a fair and respectful work environment.
    • Ensure legal compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws to mitigate risk for the organization.
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition to facilitate the recruiting process, including onboarding of permanent and temporary staff.
    • Act as the main point of contact for staffing agencies regarding labor needs, contract terms, and co-employment communications.
    • Provide coaching and education to management and employees on various HR topics, including employee engagement, performance improvement, conflict resolution, and effective team interaction.
    • Investigate and address internal complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other high-risk employment-related issues in a fair and impartial manner.
    • Assist in the development and delivery of training and development initiatives in collaboration with the Learning and Development team.
    • Coordinate performance management, merit, and competency assessment processes to support employee development.
    • Champion the organization's employee engagement, appreciation, incentive, and culture-based initiatives.
    • Represent HR on various company committees to ensure HR perspective is considered in decision-making processes.
    • Ensure compliance with all company recordkeeping requirements to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information.
    • Demonstrate comprehension of benefit plans to educate employees and assist them with benefit-related inquiries and issues.
    • Manage separation of employment and off-boarding/exit processes with professionalism and sensitivity.



    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an HR generalist role and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
    • Minimum of four (4) years of experience without a degree
    • Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now and iCIMS ATS is preferred but not required.
    • Previous experience with staffing agency partnerships, leaves, benefits, payroll, ADA and Worker's Compensation is preferred.
    Pay Details: $25.00 to $33.00 per hour
