Job DescriptionAlarm Field Service Technician
Role
As a Alarm Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for understanding high-end Audio/Video, Smart Home Systems (Control4), CCTV, Fire Alarms, and Burg Alarms. All of them installed from the ground up to completion. You will troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment in the above related fields. Diagnose errors and technical problems and determine proper solutions to relay to customers. Respond to customer callouts, providing technical service and maintenance support at specific jobs sites set by Operations Manager. Your three main fields: Installations, Inspections, and Service Work Orders.
Responsibilities
● Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
● Install and program new and existing Fire and Intrusion Alarm systems (Bosch, Honeywell, Resedio, DMP, etc.)
● Install and program new and existing CCTV systems. Troubleshooting NVR/DVR's and working with brand Tech Support
● Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all systems mentioned.
● Document Processes - Inspections forms if required
● Produce timely and detailed service reports on installations
● Clocking in and off site using Timeero
● Above Average Cable Management (Labeling - Both ends)
Job Expectations
High Skill Expectations
● Install and program new Burglar Systems, Fire Systems, Audio/ Video Installations, CCTV and Home Theaters
● Able to check blueprints, specifications, and documents, for accuracy; attention to detail
● Conduct routine preventative maintenance and inspections on alarm systems
● Run electrical wiring in attics, crawl spaces and other confined spaces, which can include drilling, trenching and aerial runs
● Troubleshoot new or existing system installations to ensure proper function and to ensure system meets local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements
● Maintain and adhere to operational procedures provided by Hercules.
● Staying up to date on new industry trends and technologies
Soft Skill Expectations:
● Present a professional image at all times both in personal and vehicle appearance
● Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations and assists with contract retention.
● Customer service and relations with commercial and residential clients
● Manage jobsite cleanliness and be responsible for minimizing material waste during installation
Job Qualifications
● Minimum of 1-3 years of field service technician experience in related fields
● Must have technical ability on Fire & Burglar Alarms, Smart Home Installations, Camera Surveillance installations, and Audio/Video Systems for Commercial and Residential
● Reliable transportation
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Proficient use of MS-Office products, especially Word and Excel
● Proficient in Gmail
● Valid driver's license
● Reliable Smartphone that has internet access for work
● Ability to work on a flexible schedule
● Dynamic and passionate with a strong teamwork mentality
● Ability to handle heavy workload
● Must have own tools
