    Job DescriptionSalary: $70, $80,000.00

    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Accounting Department for a multi-branch construction company and maintaining systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. The position is located at our corporate office in Irvine, CA, and reports to the CFO. We operate in a business casual environment, offering competitive compensation packages and benefits.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work effectively and efficiently in cross-functional departments including Sales, Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Operations.
    • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of financial controls and guidelines.
    • Maintain and reconcile assigned accounts, potentially including prepaid and other assets as well as accruals and other liabilities.
    • Responsible for gathering information necessary for the monthly accounting close, reconciling balance accounts payable and accounts receivable monthly, and preparing post journal entries.
    • Process daily cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and process ACH payments.
    • Assist in the preparation activities of Monthly & Quarterly Sales Tax Returns.
    • Reconciles sub-ledgers to general ledger account balances.
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Three years of relevant accounting experience
    • Ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced spreadsheet proficiency; Pivot Tables & VLOOKUP.
    • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum 3+ years' accounting experience required
    • Prior ERP system experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
