    Description

    Occupational Health Registered Nurse - Sign On Bonus and Relocation Reimbursement available

    Ambulatory healthcare facility seeks an experienced Occupational Health Registered Nurse to provide safe, direct patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups utilizing the nursing process. The ideal candidate will take on a clinical leadership role for staff while providing mentorship and serving as a role model.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Assess patient's condition and nursing needs, set goals, and utilize appropriate nursing actions to achieve goals
    • Provide and document nursing care according to physician's orders
    • Assist physician with special tests, procedures, and complex treatments
    • Administer medications and perform routine treatments
    • Document lab cultures and ensure follow-up on abnormal results
    • Encourage patients to participate in their own care and report any treatment or situations that they don't understand
    • Provide education to patients and family members about preventive care, medical issues, and the use of prescriptive medical treatment

    Qualifications:

    • Must have 3 years direct experience in Occupational Health
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
    • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
    • Current RN license in New Mexico or allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
    • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
    • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
    • Must be able to work in a moderately hazardous environment with exposure to chemicals, dangerous equipment, and materials
